Frances Romero, MD ABFM, MSCP

Frances Romero, MD, is a Board Certified Family Physician with a wealth of experience in General Prevention, Weight Loss, Women's Health, and Chronic Conditions. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where her passion for providing exceptional patient care in a nurturing and supportive environment began to take root.

Despite her parents' profession in Civil Engineering, Dr. Romero knew from a young age that she was destined to become a Physician. This desire was instilled in her by her grandmother, Olga, who graduated from college at age 54 and became a Health Teacher.

Dr. Romero obtained her medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe Medical School in 2008 and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2011, where she served as Co-Chief during her training. She is proficient in English, Spanish, and Spanglish. 

In 2018, she established Shine Direct Primary Care to provide healthcare services to patients regardless of their insurance status. Her clinic strives to be a welcoming environment where individuals can seek medical attention as frequently as needed without concern for expenses or copay eligibility.

During her leisure time, Dr. Romero generously offers her services as a mentor to aspiring young women who aim to flourish in their lives. She also cherishes quality moments with her loved ones and friends, engaging in physical activities, cooking, and reading books centered on entrepreneurship, health, and wellness. Dr. Romero is part of a blended family of eight. Four awesome and talented kids, her life partner Michael and two adorable cats.

With a long background in business development and management she will work to develop and maintain ongoing programs, communication, and existing resources integral to patient care.

During her career she has worked to promote and develop community awareness, outreach and events.

She has a degree in Advertising with focus in economics as well as over 20 years of business management experience.

Kimberly has lived in Naples since 2005 coming from central Illinois. She enjoys camping, gardening, volunteering and spending time with her husband and son.

Tamia Buttler is a new addition to our team, and we couldn't be more excited to have on board. As a Medical Assistant, Tamia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table But that's not all - she's also a driven individual with big dreams for the future. Tamia is currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with plans to eventually earn a PsyD and establish a nonprofit organization focused on mental health.

Tamia's dedication and hard work have already paid off in many ways. She's maintained honor roll status for an impressive five terms, and passed her medical assistant certification on the very first attempt. These achievements are a testament to Tamia's commitment to excellence, and we have no doubt that she'll continue to excel in all of her future endeavors.

One of the things we love most about Tamia is her infectious sense of humor. She's always quick with a corny joke or a witty quip, and her positive attitude is truly contagious. We're thrilled to have Tamia as part of our team, and we can't wait to see all the amazing things she'll accomplish in the years to come.
